Weigh-in Wednesday

Yea! Lost the two pounds I gained the previous week. Total: up 1 pound. Oh well.

I am trying to drink more water. The exercise thing has been non-existent.

Work in progress.

Two Days Down; 19 to go

I worked out for 10 minutes today. Yea me!

Okay ... here we go again

So, last week was not a great week for the whole diet thing. However, during my vacation, I picked up a 10-minute solution workout dvd. I did one of them yesterday. Not exactly kid-friendly. But surely I can fit in 10 minutes a day, right? Also, it's been brought to my attention that it takes 21 days to form a habit. My current goal: 10 minutes (or more) of exercising every day for 21 days, starting yesterday, April 19. I'll keep you posted.

Better

I did not eat a ton of food at either of my overnights this week. Last night I had two snacks, and Sunday night, just one. That's an improvement. I still need to work on drinking more water.

Well ... maybe next week

Okay, so with family in town, the food diary thing didn't work out so well. We've been eating yummy food and not-good-for us food. Oh well. I will keep at it.

Food Diary -Tuesday

So working overnights, adds a few snacks to my days, but I'm trying to be honest about the ol' intake. The overnights also make me tired, which makes me more likely to eat something I shouldn't instead of fixing something yummy, but I guess that's the way life goes. I'm going to go enjoy my coffee now.

Midnight Snack:

Cheese
Wheat Thins
Tea
Couple of Little Cookies

Breakfast:
1/2 a cup of juice
2 slices of marble creme bread (yummy)
Coffee with hot chocolate and whipped cream

Snack:
Blueberry Coffee with Cinnamon creamer (Thanks, Christine!)

Lunch:
Double cheeseburger (this saves 160 calories from ordering two little cheeseburgers)
Fries (should've ordered the kids meal ... didn't need the large fries)
Tea
Two little cookies

Supper:
Pizza
Broccoli with Ranch
Little cookies
Water

Snack:
Reisen Chocolate

Blah day ... ready for bed. I'm tired. Not looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow, but I am making some subtle choices, as I don't want to write something down, so I'm not eating it. It's a start.

Not a terrible day, but not great

After working another overnight, I got up and helped Husby move his office around. On the upside we got to spend almost six hours without the kids and got a lot accomplished. We even enjoyed a meal together. On the downside, I did not get a nap. As far as food goes ... still need to make better choices when out and about. Argg ... this is not going to be easy.

Anyway, tomorrow begins the first official full week of the One-Year Goal ... this week's goals: write down all my food (sorry to bother you with all that, but that is the purpose of this blog) and drink more water. I'll keep you posted!

For the record

Working overnights and selling a home are not positive influences on one's decision to lose a few pounds. I do okay at work until about 12:30 or 1 a.m., then I'm am either so tired I eat to keep myself awake or am so hungry because it's that late and my body would rather be sleeping. Oh well. This is a bit of a crazy five days for work, but then I'll settle into my new regular schedule. I am looking forward to that.

I wonder

Okay, so I weighed-in before my shower this afternoon. Blah, but about what I expected. And, no, I'm not going to share the number ... it's icky, and that's not really important. The important part is weighing less!!

On to my wonder ... I wonder how many pounds I could lose before Husby would notice. I haven't decided if I'm going to tell him about this venture quite yet. I wonder ...

Another blog?

Yep, but this one is to chronicle my one-year goal of losing 35 pounds. Here's why:

1. I just turned 35, I'm not a kid anymore.
2. Husby likes it when I take care of myself.
3. I have three little people who depend on me to take care of them, so I'd better be a good example.

4. I did not like this picture of me on my birthday:

So, do I have a strategy? Nope, not really. I'm still formulating my plan. I'll probably try to take it one week at a time, so this week, is gearing up to get going. My official start date was yesterday, but I forgot to weigh-in, so I will do that later today, and give updates on Wednesdays. Yep, it will be Weigh-in Wednesdays on this blog. I decided that if I blog about it maybe I'll be more accountable, even if no one ever reads this!
