Back on the Scale

We were back at church this week, which meant back on the "official" weigh-in scale. Good news again this week ... I have lost about seven pounds since the last time I weighed in. Officially, that makes 17.2 pounds that have disappeared from my body. I wonder where it goes?

While I haven't really noticed any huge changes in my body, I will tell you this: My pants are starting to not fit so great. This is a good and bad thing. Good because it's a nice feeling; bad because I want to lose at least another 23 pounds or so ... what's a girl to do?

Little Confession

As you may remember, we've been a little under the weather at our house the last few days. So, I haven't made it over to the church for my "official" weigh-in.

Last night I was giving the kids a bath, so I did the unthinkable, I pulled out my scale at home. Now, it was 7ish, and I had on jeans, so I wasn't expecting anything great, but thought, "at least it's some type of measurement, right?" According to that scale, I'd lost about another three pounds. I'm not sure if I buy it.

This morning, I decide to get on the Wii Fit. I figure it's pretty accurate, and I had been on there a few weeks ago, although I hadn't looked at my weight, just BMI (not that that's any better). The Wii Fit said I had lost more than seven pounds since I'd last been on, which was two weeks ago. Maybe the scale upstairs in the bathroom was right.

Here's the deal. I've decided to add one pound to the scale upstairs, as I was a few days into the week. Hopefully, the two scales aren't too different from each other, and hopefully WW won't virtually yell at me this week! A more accurate Weigh-In will happen on Sunday (if I have to go by myself)!

Colds are a Bummer!

Well, we didn't go to church today, as the Little Peeps are recovering from a cold, and the Big Girl and I seem to have caught the little bug too! Husby is fighting the bug with Zicam and other things that I don't do. I think the Little Peeps are feeling better today, so that's good!

Because we aren't going to church, I also can't weigh in! That's a bummer for me. I really would like to pop over there and weigh in, but I doubt it's going to happen. I do have to run to Wal-Mart to pick up a prescription and some other "feel better while you have a cold" drugs! Maybe I'll sneak over to the church at that point in time.

I could weigh-in on our Wii Fit, as it seems to be pretty accurate, but I haven't compared the scales, so I don't want to be too terribly off.

I do really like having the scale at the church. It may seem weird, but we're there almost every week, so it's an accountability thing for me. I also like knowing that's where I'll weigh-in and that keeps me from jumping on the scale every four hours here!

Until I can weigh in, that's all I have for now.

10 Pounds and Counting

Yea! I've lost 10 pounds. I'm excited. WW thought my average weight loss over the last four weeks was too much. Blah! What do they know. It's not like I'm losing five pounds a week. And, I am following their program. And, Friday night Husby and I went out, and threw the diet to the wind. (Sort of ...we got fuller a lot faster! I didn't finish my steak, and there was still popcorn left in our popcorn box after the movie!).

At any rate, I'm happy! :-)

Work Out!

It had to happen. At some point in this One-Year Goal journey, it had to happen. While I am on my way to losing unwanted pounds, I knew that I would have to start working out again. Tonight, as part of the Biggest Loser Club at church, I went to work out. We get to work out for six weeks (only four left) at Endurance Fitness. One of the club owners, Amy, worked us really hard, but it was a good hard. I feel good, and as my dear Husby said, now that I've jump started my body, I need to keep it up. I agree.

Also, I added a new little ticker to my blog. Cool, huh?

Yea!

More good news this week! I lost a couple more pounds for a grand total of just more than seven pounds. I am super excited about this. Not quite five pounds to go to reach my first "mini-goal." Woo-hoo! At this rate, I should reach my "One-Year Goal" in three to four months. Who knows what will happen by my birthday! :-)

Good News!

Today was the second weigh-in at church for me. Yea!! I've lost three pounds since last week! Even with the somewhat-indulgent July 4 Party last night.

Weight Watchers is going really well. I've modified a couple of recipes, which turned out well. We've found some yummy things for snacks that aren't too many points:
  • Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches (2)
  • 1 slice of Beefsteak Hearty Rye bread with Light Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge (2)
  • Light Baby Bell (1)
I'm sure we'll find more as we continue on this little journey. The kids haven't seemed to notice, so that's good! :-)

(Okay, that's not entirely true. The other night Pearl asked me why Daddy and I wanted to be skinny like "me and Macey." I explained that it's not about being skinny or fat, round or flat, but about being healthy and making healthy choices. She will occasionally ask me now how many points she's eating! Silly girl.)

Oh, for those keeping track:
When I first started this blog, I wanted to lose 35 pounds. With the move, I managed to add a few pounds, so when I started Weight Watchers, I guessed my weight about five pounds more than where I started. This was in part because I had knowingly gained a few pounds and also because weigh-ins at church would be clothed. No neked weigh-ins first thing in the morning are allowed there ... I know, weird, huh? :-) So, since I've started Weight Watchers (and the Biggest Loser Club at church), I've lost 4.6 pounds. Woo-hoo!
